The International World Energy Congress was successfully organized under the auspices of the Faculty of Engineering at Erciyes University, in cooperation with İKSAD (Institute of Economic Development and Social Research).
Bringing together distinguished academics, researchers, and industry representatives from 27 countries at both national and international levels, the congress addressed energy policies, sustainable energy resources, energy security, the relationship between energy and development, and engineering-based innovative approaches in a multidimensional manner through the presentation of 283 scientific papers.
At the congress, opening speeches were delivered by the Congress Chair Prof. Dr. Mustafa Serdar GENÇ, the Vice President of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Kayseri Branch Serdal KARA, the President of İKSAD Institute Dr. Mustafa Latif EMEK, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Erciyes University Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alper ÖNER. In these addresses, emphasis was placed on the global transformation process in the energy sector, the strategic role of engineering, the importance of academia–industry collaboration, and the contribution of scientific production to policymaking processes.
The academic presentations, panels, and scientific discussions held within the scope of the congress offered interdisciplinary perspectives on current challenges in the energy field, while also making significant contributions to the development of university–industry–research collaborations.
Supported by İKSAD’s organizational expertise and its extensive international academic network, the congress served as an important platform that strengthened Erciyes University’s scientific visibility and academic capacity in the field of energy. Highlighting this point, Congress Coordinator Dr. Atabek MOVLYANOV expressed his satisfaction with the congress’s contribution to both academic output and energy-related policymaking processes, and stated that similar international scientific events would continue to be organized in the coming periods.
