SIGNIFICANT COOPERATION IN AGRICULTURE BETWEEN TÜRKİYE AND GEORGIA WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE İKSAD SCIENCE DIPLOMACY PROJECT

Within the framework of the Science Diplomacy Project carried out by the IKSAD Institute, a meaningful visit was conducted to the Ereğli Faculty of Agriculture at Necmettin Erbakan University, together with the academic delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture of Telavi State University (Georgia).

 

As part of the visit program, the Georgian academic delegation examined the modern laboratories and applied greenhouses within the Ereğli Faculty of Agriculture and received detailed information about the ongoing scientific studies.

During the program, an official protocol covering academic and scientific cooperation was signed between the Faculty of Agriculture of Telavi State University and the Ereğli Faculty of Agriculture of Necmettin Erbakan University. Through this agreement, led by the deans of both faculties, it is aimed to develop joint research projects, academic exchange programs, and sustainable scientific collaborations.

 

Prof. Dr. Levan SHAVADZE, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Telavi State University, stated during the signing ceremony:

“This cooperation to be established between Türkiye and Georgia in the field of agricultural sciences will contribute not only to academic production but also to the formation of a strong foundation that supports regional development.”

 

Prof. Dr. Yaşar KARADAĞ, Dean of the Ereğli Faculty of Agriculture at Necmettin Erbakan University, remarked:

“Through this valuable collaboration, we will develop joint projects that transform scientific knowledge into practice and take significant steps toward providing our students with an international perspective.”

 

Dr. Mustafa Latif EMEK, President of the IKSAD Institute, also noted:

“Science diplomacy is one of the most effective ways of building not only academic cooperation but also lasting bridges of friendship between countries. This collaboration will make a significant contribution to strengthening sustainable scientific relations between the two nations.”
