The WORLD WOMEN STUDIES CONFERENCE–IX was successfully held on March 6–8, 2026, hosted by Baku Girls University in Baku, Azerbaijan. The conference brought together academics and researchers working primarily in women’s studies, as well as in various fields of the social sciences and humanities, providing an international platform for scholarly exchange.

 

The opening ceremony featured speeches by Prof. Dr. Sevinj Aliyeva, Rector of Baku Girls University; Prof. Dr. Arzu Al, Member of the Conference Organizing Committee and Senate Member of the IKSAD Institute; Dr. Mustafa Latif Emek, President of the IKSAD Institute; and Attorney Ayyüce Erva Yalçın, Invited Speaker. The opening program was also enriched with an exhibition and traditional Azerbaijani dance performances.

 

During the conference, 315 papers prepared by more than one thousand authors from 25 countries were presented. The sessions addressed a wide range of scholarly studies related to women’s studies and associated disciplines, fostering productive discussions that promoted academic knowledge sharing and strengthened international collaboration.
