A MEANINGFUL VISIT FROM İKSAD INSTITUTE TO OSMANİYE KORKUT ATA UNIVERSITY

Within the framework of the IKSAD Institute’s Science Diplomacy Project, a delegation composed of Dr. Atabek MOVLYANOV, General Coordinator of IKSAD Institute; Prof. Dr. Davit TAPNADZE, Member of the IKSAD High Council; and Prof. Dr. Vazha KELİKHASHVILI, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Georgian Aviation University, paid a courtesy visit to Osmaniye Korkut Ata University.

As part of the visit, the delegation met with Prof. Dr. Mehmet CİHANGİR, Vice Rector of Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, and Prof. Dr. Ertaç HÜRDOĞAN, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. During the meeting, potential avenues for academic cooperation in higher education were comprehensively discussed within the framework of the longstanding friendship and historical ties between Türkiye and Georgia.

It was emphasized that science diplomacy plays a strategic role in fostering sustainable academic partnerships between the two friendly and brotherly nations. Concrete areas of cooperation—such as joint congresses, collaborative research projects, academic exchange programs, and co-publication initiatives—were deliberated in detail.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the University administration for their gracious hospitality, constructive approach, and visionary openness to institutional collaboration, and we express our hope that this visit will lay the foundation for lasting and productive academic partnerships between the universities of the two countries.
