EMPOWERING WOMEN'S CONTRIBUTIONS TO SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Sivas, Turkey - April 28, 2024 - The International Interdisciplinary Congress of Women in Science-II concluded with resounding success, celebrating the achievements and contributions of women in various scientific disciplines. Hosted by Sivas Science and Technology University in collaboration with esteemed partners, the congress took place on April 27-28, 2024, at Sivas, Turkey, showcasing inspiring leadership and groundbreaking research.

The congress commenced with insightful opening speeches by distinguished personalities, including:

Rukiye TOY: Member of Parliament of the Republic of Turkey, who highlighted the importance of gender equality and empowerment in the scientific community.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet KUL: Rector of Sivas Science and Technology University, serving as the Honorary President of the Congress, emphasized the university's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for women in science.

Dr. Kaldigul Adilbekova: Congress Chair from the IKSAD Institute, who emphasized the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative approaches in advancing women's roles in science and technology.

Prof. Dr. Birnur Akkaya: Congress Chair from Sivas Cumhuriyet University, highlighted the importance of mentorship, education, and advocacy in promoting women's participation and leadership in scientific fields.

Prof. Dr. Kağan KÖKTEN: Vice Rector of Sivas Science and Technology University, served as the Honorary President of the Congress, underlining the university's commitment to providing platforms for women scientists to excel and thrive.

The congress featured a diverse range of sessions, workshops, and panel discussions covering topics such as innovation, sustainability, healthcare, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
