THE 3rd INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS CONGRESS HELD IN BAKU

The 3rd International Economics Congress was successfully held in Baku on 5–6 March 2026, organized in cooperation with the IKSAD Institute, Baku Business University, and Business and Technology Academy (Georgia).

Organized under the theme “Business and Economy in the Age of Global Transformation: Theory, Policy and Practice,” the congress provided a highly significant discussion platform at a time when global transformation is accelerating, economic policies are being reshaped, business practices are changing rapidly, and new economic paradigms are emerging. In this context, the congress offered an important forum for academics, policymakers, and the business community. It served as a major scientific platform addressing the theoretical foundations, policy dimensions, and practical implications of global economic transformation from a multidisciplinary perspective.

In the opening session of the congress, Prof. Dr. Ibad ABBASOV, Rector of Baku Business University; Dr. Mustafa Latif EMEK, President of the IKSAD Institute; Prof. Dr. Sophia Macharashvili, Rector of the Business and Technology Academy; Prof. Dr. Arzu AL, Co-President of the Scientific Committee; and Assoc. Prof. Meleyke ABBASOVA, Vice Rector of Baku Business University and Co-President of the Scientific Committee delivered their remarks. In their speeches, they highlighted the academic significance of the congress, the importance of international scientific cooperation, and the new research areas emerging from global economic transformation.

Bringing together academics from different countries, the congress made significant contributions to the sharing of current research in economics and business, the strengthening of international academic collaboration, and the enhancement of scientific interaction.
