INTERNATIONAL ART AND DESIGN SYMPOSIUM

Organized by our Institute in collaboration with Istanbul Arel University, the International Art and Design Symposium was held on 24–25 October 2025 with participation from academics, artists, and designers from 21 countries.

The Honorary Chair of the symposium was Prof. Dr. Ersin GÖSE, Rector of Istanbul Arel University.

Co-Chairs of the event were Prof. Dr. Nalan BÜKER, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet OCAKÇI, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture.

The Chair of the Organizing Committee was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kübra ŞAHİN ÇEKEN from the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The opening speeches were delivered by Rector Prof. Dr. Ersin GÖSE and Prof. Dr. Başak Turan İçke, highlighting the unifying power of art across cultures, the role of design in social transformation, and the importance of academic collaboration.

During the symposium, numerous presentations explored innovative approaches in art, design, architecture, and cultural production, providing participants with opportunities for interdisciplinary interaction and creative exchange.

The international group exhibition held throughout the event attracted great attention with artworks from various countries, inspiring attendees through the universal language of art. 🎭
